Ripple fold curtains, also sold as S-fold or wave curtains, hang in a smooth, even wave from end to end and stack slim when open. They suit full-height glass, condo balcony doors and modern BTO interiors with plain walls. We supply and fit them on the dedicated track they need.

The even wave comes from the track, not the fabric. The carriers on a ripple fold track are linked by a cord or chain at a fixed spacing, and that spacing sets the depth of every wave. Ripple fold tape on an ordinary glider track will not form an even wave, so an order usually includes new hardware.
Fullness is mostly set by the carrier spacing rather than chosen freely. Around 2x is a common starting point, with deeper waves at higher fullness. We confirm the figure for your track and fabric when we quote.
Curtain boxes and depth
The wave projects forward from the track on both sides. Inside a curtain box, there must be room for the wave as well as the rail, and with a double track for a sheer and a night curtain, room for two waves to pass without rubbing. Some developer-built boxes are too shallow.
If you are renovating, tell your ID or carpenter you plan to use ripple fold before the box is built. If the box already exists, we measure its depth at the visit and say whether one or two layers will fit.
Where ripple fold works well
Ripple fold and blackout
Ripple fold works for blackout curtains, but the wave can let a line of light over the top unless the track sits inside a curtain box or very close to the ceiling. A lined ripple fold curtain is also heavier and needs more box depth. For the darkest bedroom, a pinch pleat on a ceiling track sits flatter at the top, so compare both if sleep is the priority.

Are ripple fold and S-fold the same?
They are the same family and often sold under either name. Some suppliers use ripple fold for a snap-on system, but the look is very similar.
Can I put ripple fold curtains on my existing track?
Usually not. Ripple fold needs a track with linked carriers. We check what you have at the visit.
Why do ripple fold curtains cost more?
