Curtain installation in Singapore
A curtain track that sags in the middle, a rod fixed too low above the window, or new curtains that stop short of the floor can spoil a room that was otherwise finished with care. Curtain installation in Singapore homes means working with concrete ceilings, false ceilings, curtain boxes and walls that are not always easy to drill. Curtains SG measures and installs curtain tracks, rods and blinds, whether you are buying new curtains from us or only need the hardware put up.

Installation starts with confirming where the track or rod will sit. We mark the bracket positions so the track runs level across the window and extends far enough past the frame for the curtains to stack clear of the glass when open. Brackets are then fixed to the ceiling or wall, spaced to support the weight of the fabric along the full length.
Once the track or rod is up, we hang the curtains, check that they glide smoothly and adjust the hooks so the hem sits at the intended height. Small adjustments at this stage make a visible difference. A curtain that just clears the floor looks neater than one that drags or hovers several centimetres above it.

Track installation, new curtains or rehanging
You can book installation in a few different ways, depending on what you already have.
Installing IKEA, Shopee and other ready-made curtains
Ready-made curtains from IKEA, Nitori, Spotlight, Shopee or Taobao come without installation. We can put up a track or rod to suit them and hang them, which is often the hardest part for a new flat. Bring the curtains and the hardware you bought, or we can suggest a track that suits the curtain heading.
Ready-made curtains come in fixed sizes, so check the length before the visit. Many are too long or too short for Singapore ceilings. If they are too long, we can also shorten them; see curtain alteration.

HDB and condo ceilings, walls and curtain boxes
In many HDB flats and condos, tracks are fixed straight into a concrete ceiling, which gives a firm fixing for heavy curtains. A false ceiling is different. Plasterboard alone cannot bear much weight, so a ceiling track there needs to be fixed to the frame above it, or into a built-in curtain box. If your renovation includes a false ceiling, ask your contractor to add a curtain box or reinforcement where the curtains will go.
Walls vary too. Some HDB walls have drilling restrictions, such as the bomb shelter wall, and lightweight partitions need suitable anchors. Where drilling is not an option, a rod or track can sometimes be mounted on the window frame or recess instead. We check each window at the visit and explain which fixing we suggest and why.

What to prepare before the installation visit
Clear the area in front of each window so there is room for a ladder, and move fragile items off ledges and shelves nearby. If you are rehanging existing curtains, have them ready and note which curtain goes in which room. Let us know about any wiring, aircon trunking or pipes running near the window, as these affect where brackets can go.
For new curtains, measurement comes first. Home measurement visits need a $50 deposit, which is credited to your order when you buy. Call or WhatsApp +65 9071 3976 with photos of your windows and ceilings, and we can tell you what to expect before we come.

Common questions
Can you install curtain tracks without new curtains?
Yes. We install tracks and rods on their own, and we can rehang curtains you already have. Send photos of the windows so we can plan the visit.
Can a curtain track go on a false ceiling?
It can if the ceiling has a curtain box or a frame behind the board to fix into. Plasterboard alone is not strong enough for most curtains, so we check the ceiling before fixing anything.
Can you install curtains I bought from IKEA or Shopee?
Yes. We install tracks and rods for ready-made curtains and hang them. Send photos of the windows and the curtains, including the heading type (eyelet, pencil pleat or hooks), so we can bring the right hardware.
Ceiling track or wall track?
A ceiling track lets curtains fall from the top of the room and reduces light above the fabric. A wall track or rod suits rooms where the ceiling cannot take fixings, or where you prefer the curtain to start just above the window.
Do you rehang curtains after cleaning?
Yes. We clean curtains and can take them down and rehang them, adjusting the hooks so they sit evenly once back up.
How do I book curtain installation?
