Fabric samples and specification
We bring fabric samples to your office, the site or a client meeting, so the client can see sheers, dim-out and blackout fabrics against the actual window light. If your design calls for a particular look, such as a linen-look sheer with a pinch pleat heading or an S-fold blackout in a specific grey, send us the mood board or reference and we will propose fabrics to match.
If the specification names a fabric we do not carry, ask us. We will tell you whether we can source it or suggest a close alternative for your approval. We confirm fabric, colour and heading with you in writing before production, so the client signs off on what will be made.
A clear spec lists the heading (S-fold, pinch pleat or eyelet), whether the curtain sits on a ceiling track or a wall-mounted rod, lining, stack side, and hem height above the floor.
Working to the reno schedule
The final measurement is best done after the curtain boxes, false ceiling and window frames are complete, because a few millimetres change how a blind fits in a reveal. Installation usually goes in after painting and flooring, before the final clean. Tell us your handover date and site access arrangements early, and we will plan measurement and installation around them.
If the client needs privacy before handover, for example a family moving in on a fixed date, tell us. We can prioritise bedrooms and windows facing neighbours, and finish the rest in a second visit if the schedule needs it. Blinds that sit inside a window reveal depend on the frame position, so any change to the windows after measurement should be flagged to us before we cut.

When should you measure the site?
After the curtain boxes, false ceiling and window frames are complete. Measuring earlier risks the fit being off once carpentry is finished.
What should the electrician know for motorised curtains?
Where the motor sits, which is usually the end the curtain stacks to, and whether there will be wall switches or app control. Send us the plan and we can confirm the power point positions.
Can you supply fabric samples for my client?
Yes. We bring samples to the site, your office or a client meeting so the client can compare fabrics in real light.
Can you install before the client moves in?
Yes, that is the usual timing. Installation goes in after painting and flooring and before the final clean, and we can split it across two visits if bedrooms are needed first.
