Aluminium venetian blinds in Singapore
Aluminium venetian blinds have thin metal slats that tilt to control light and privacy and lift to clear the window. They are light, slim when raised and stand up well to moisture, which makes them a practical choice for kitchens, bathrooms, service yards, studies and offices.

How aluminium copes with Singapore conditions
Aluminium does not absorb water, swell or warp, so it suits steamy bathrooms and kitchens where wood would struggle. The slats are coated, so they resist rust in normal indoor use, though very salty air near the coast and constant splashing can mark the coating over time.
On west-facing windows, tilted slats bounce sunlight up to the ceiling and keep direct glare off desks and sofas while letting light into the room. Lighter colours reflect more heat. Metal slats can feel warm to the touch in direct sun, but they do not fade the way fabric does.

Options to choose
Measuring, price and installation
Aluminium venetian blinds are $5 to $7 per sq ft, installed, with a 20 sq ft minimum per blind. A home measuring visit with samples has a $50 deposit, credited to your order, and we price match written quotes for the same specification.
Because the slats are thin and light, aluminium blinds fit well inside shallow HDB recesses and over kitchen sinks where space is tight. We check that the slats can tilt without hitting window handles, and that the stack at the top does not block the window opening. Very wide windows are usually split into two blinds so each is easy to lift.

Care
Dust with a cloth or a vacuum brush, closing the slats one way and then the other. In a kitchen, wipe with warm water and a little dishwashing liquid to lift grease, then dry. Aluminium slats can dent or bend if pulled hard, so tilt and lift with the controls rather than by hand.

Aluminium, wood or faux wood
Wooden blinds look warmer but suit only dry rooms and cost more per sq ft. Faux wood gives a wood look with moisture resistance, but is heavier and bulkier when raised. Aluminium is the lightest, slimmest and usually the most affordable venetian, with a cleaner, more modern look.
For a softer feel in a wet room, a moisture-resistant roller blind is another option, though it does not let you angle light the way slats do.

Do aluminium blinds rust?
The slats are coated aluminium, which resists rust indoors. Constant splashing or salty coastal air can mark the coating over time.
