Wallpaper supply and installation in Singapore
Wallpaper changes a room faster than most renovation work. A single feature wall behind a bed or sofa can set the tone for the whole room, and a full room in a quiet texture can hide uneven walls better than paint.

Wallpaper in a humid climate
Singapore's humidity is the main thing to plan for. Paper that absorbs moisture can bubble, lift at the seams or grow mould behind the surface, especially on walls that face the weather, sit behind a wardrobe or share a wall with a bathroom. Choosing the right material and preparing the wall properly matters more here than in a drier climate.
Rooms that are air-conditioned at night and humid in the day see the most movement. A breathable paper and a well-sealed wall cope best.

Types of wallpaper
Preparing HDB and condo walls
Most HDB walls are plastered and painted. Before hanging, we check for damp, flaking paint and cracks. Damp walls must be fixed and dried first, or the paper will fail. Glossy paint may need a primer so the paste grips. Walls with old wallpaper are usually stripped rather than papered over.

Measuring and installation notes
Send photos of the wall or room with rough heights and widths, and the switches and sockets on it. We quote from the photos and sizes, then confirm at a measuring visit. Patterned papers need extra length to match the repeat. Installers paste, hang, match seams and trim around sockets, skirting and ceiling. Keep the room ventilated but avoid strong fans pointed at the wall for the first day while the paste sets.

Coordinating with curtains and blinds
A patterned feature wall usually works best with plain curtains in a colour picked from the paper. A plain textured wall gives room for a patterned curtain or a bolder blind. If the paper runs behind a curtain track, install the wallpaper first so the track sits cleanly on top, and plan ceiling-mounted tracks so the paper reaches the ceiling line.

Care
Dust with a soft dry cloth. Vinyl can be wiped with a damp sponge; non-woven and textured papers should be spot cleaned gently. Keep furniture a little away from external walls so air can move behind it. If you see a seam lifting, have it re-pasted early before moisture gets behind it.

Common questions
Does wallpaper get mouldy in Singapore?
It can if the wall is damp or the room is poorly ventilated. Fix damp first, choose a breathable paper and keep air moving.
Can wallpaper go on HDB walls?
Yes, on sound, dry, painted walls. Glossy paint may need primer, and any damp must be fixed before hanging.
Vinyl or non-woven wallpaper: which is better?
Vinyl is easier to wipe clean. Non-woven breathes better and strips off more easily. Most bedrooms and living rooms suit non-woven.
How much does wallpaper installation cost?
It depends on the wall area, the paper and the wall condition. We quote from photos and sizes, then confirm at a measuring visit.
